I always make use of Moong Dal very often as it is Healthy and act as Coolant for our body and also most importantly very Easy to Prepare … This time i used the Tomatoes for this Moong Dal Gravy . It Tastes really good and goes well with Steamed rice or Roti .For this Preparation Soak Moong Dal for an hour and cook Dal along 1/4 Tsp of turmeric and 2 Slit Green chilies Place it in Pressure Cooker cook until Dal is cooked well.
Ingredients:
1Cup Moongdal
2 Tomato chopped Finely
1 Tsp Ginger –Garlic Paste
1/2 Tsp Red chilly Powder
Few Sprigs of Cilantro
1 Tsp Cumin seeds
1 Tbsp Oil
Salt – 1 1/2 Tsp
water – As required
Add oil in a Pan when the oil is Hot , Add Cumin seeds and then Ginger garlic Paste Sauté it for some time . Add tomatoes Cook until Tomatoes are soft n mushy then Add Red Chilly Powder and mashed dal depending upon your gravy consistency add water . Let it cook for few minutes add salt Simmer it for a while then turn off the stove & Garnish with cilantro .
