Mixed Veggies Biryani

Ingredients:

Onion-2

Tomatoes-2

Green Chilies-2

Ginger-Garlic Paste-2 Tsp

Coriander Powder-2 Tsp

Red Chilly Powder-1 Tsp

Salt- 1 1/2 Tsp

Turmeric Powder- 1/2 Tsp

Cilantro or Coriander Leaves-1/2 Cup Sprigs Chopped

Oil- 2 Tbsp

Ghee-2 Tbsp

Mixed Veggies- 1Cup ( I use Frozen Mixed Veggies Pack costs around 98 cents )

2  Cups Basmati Rice

1 Cup Coconut Milk

3 Cups water

 

Dry Ingredients:

Cloves-4

Cardamom-4

Cinnamon – 1 inch

Bay leaves-3

Cumin Seeds-1/2 Tsp

 

 Method To Prepare:

My choice of veggies are carrots, beans and green peas.

In a Pan heat oil and ghee and Then add all the Dry ingredients Let them Sizzle for a while then add Tsp of Cumin Seeds and Onion ,Green chili,Ginger-Garlic Paste fry until raw smell goes away then add chopped tomato and cook until they become soft.Now add Mixed veggies & cilantro leaves Let them Fry  for 3-5 Minutes then Add Turmeric,Coriander powder,Red chilly Powder & Salt . Fry for 2 minutes and then turn off the Stove .

Place the Mixed Veggies Gravy along with Rice and Mixed Veggies Gravy along with coconut Milk and Water Place it in Rice cooker and Let it cook …When its done Serve to another bowl .

 

Tip: You can add Coconut milk instead of water as well it tastes really good with the combination of coconut milk .
